Okay, I consider lodging in Santa Cruz outrageously HIGH - even here! But it's certainly less than just about anywhere else within walking distance to the Boardwalk. ||The staff is very nice and accommodating. The motel is short walking distance to the Boardwalk and the wharf. The room was clean and the shower was a nice blast. Hair dryer was provided. ||No coffee. Gratefully, I brought my travel coil to heat water for instant coffee. ||Parking is available, though a little awkward.||Warning: This place is for the healthy! This is not a good option for scooters and wheelchairs or people who have trouble with incline! The motel is on a steep, bumpy hill, and that means the bottom floor. I have a healing ankle right now and had much difficulty with it. Other than that....||If you can accept basic and clean for the location, then you should save yourselves a chunk of money by staying here.

This was a very conveniently located hotel, as well has having some of the most helpful staff I’ve ever had the pleasure of interacting with. Everything about this place is great, along with the proximity to the boardwalk and beach. Take advantage of the parking + a night’s stay by the water. Very military friendly as well.

The receptionist was very kind! She even called to let us know that we had left a water bottle which we came and picked up later. Great location too.
