OMG! OMG! OMG! I nearly wept when we unwrapped the bed Casey and his team made for us. It is SO gorgeous. Truly a work of art. We could not be happier. The grain in the headboard is astonishingly beautiful, it is solid, strong, and so elegant in our master bedroom.
I had coveted this bed for nearly 5 years, and was a little anxious about ordering something so important on line, but eventually we just went for it since we couldn't find a bed that we liked more. It was a true pleasure to work with Casey and his wife Heather. Very responsive and thoughtful - they even went out of their way to help me get the bed to Canada where I live. Our bed has a beautiful story, and we will treasure it for the rest of our lives.
Casey and Heather at the Beauty and Bread Woodshop are exceptional. Commissioning a made-to-order piece of furniture is always an adventure as you put a lot of trust into the maker. Casey and Heather have been incredible to work with as they answered all the many questions we had. We asked to use very specific Walnut wood and Casey found it for us. He crafted a wonderful bed, a work of art, with precise joints, smooth surfaces, and an incredible eye for the smallest details. Their communication throughout the process was impeccable. Beauty and Bread uses a professional white-glove delivery service which brought the bed all the way to the East Coast. It arrived in perfect condition and within the timeframe Casey anticipated.
In short, I can recommend the Beauty and Bread Woodshop without any reservation. They are one of the few true artisanal woodshops left in America.
