Horrible return policy! Purchased a fan online, cancelled order literally 6 minutes later to cancel order because I found it cheaper elsewhere, BB&B online policy states that you can cancel within 35 minutes without a problem. I tried cancelling but their system did not allow me to, I emailed them and they sent me multiple pin numbers to try to cancel the order to no avail. Tried cancelling the next morning avia their customer service department but was told that it was "too late to cancel because shipment was released" (shipment was due in 10 days). I was told to wait 10 days for the order, pay to return it to them, wait for them to receive/inspect then wait again 3-5 days to get refund. This order was placed on June 20th, they received my return but they are telling me that to wait "a week or so" to get my refund.
I will never purchase from Bed Bath & Beyond again!!!
Bed bath and beyond I ordered a pool ladder at the price of $755.56. When we received the ladder and started to put together the biggest outside piece that sits outside the pool we realized this is not the ladder we ordered. It’s smaller, not as sturdy and doesn’t look as pictured. I ordered this set, spent more money because of this piece. I called customer service on 5/17/2024 and the agent told me she is sending shipping a message to send me the correct piece. 6/15/24 I hadn’t received the piece and needed a ladder for summer season so I called again and the agent told me she is sending a priority email to shipping for a status and I will receive a message within 3 days. Not happy but need a ladder for the pool I agreed to wait again. On 6/20/24 I received the following response. “A request was sent to our warehouse to ship the replacement part. They are unable to send the parts needed. I apologize for the inconvenience and want to provide you with the available options we currently have for you.
1- We can offer a partial refund of $105.90 back to your original form of payment to keep the item as is. 2- We can have the item returned for a full refund. we cannot process a full replacement for this item since the item is currently out of stock.”
I couldn’t believe I waited that long just to not get the correct ladder and a small refund to the biggest piece of the ladder that I spent so much money on. I wanted to send the whole thing back but desperate for some type of ladder now that it’s summer I agreed to take it. I will never give them a single penny of my money again and warning all family friends not to shop here. I have been a member since 2011 and I just can’t believe what they have become.
