Horrible company. With them for a year, our son progressed in SPITE of this company. -Inexperienced, untrained BTs. -Scheduling issues (late, cancellations and no show no calls) -Stressful to deal with (had to specifically request masks for COVID and even still the BT sent us news articles saying masks weren't necessary.)
We are considering doing without ABA services due to this company's thorough ineptitude and the fact that many other providers seem to have the same issues. We were sold a line that ABA is essential for our child's development, yet this company does not take the time to screen for qualified candidates or train them correctly. We went through 9 or 10 BTs in less than a year. Some of these BTs didn't even show up. Some quit on our doorstep and would even complain to us how horribly they were trained. We got rid of 3 on our own accord due to unprofessional behavior like showing up 45 minutes late and late multiple times with no call/text. Another refused to follow their own company procedures, not even knowing what basic ABA principles like "priming" and "timing" are and causing tremendous issues for our child including melt downs and causing REGRESSION by taking over activities and letting him simply run around the house and interrupting our own efforts. We've had a BT come in one day and quit the next. We've had a BT show up to our home and tearfully apologize that she had quit and wanted us to know personally how terrible this company is. We've had 2 BTs never even show up for 2 months while we were supposed to have services. The first 2 BTs we had before our son turned 3 were amazing, but the company changed them on us due to the age change. We've had 1 excellent BT, who was a former pre-school teacher and totally understood children who even compained about lack of guidance and the clunkiness of their "technology" devices. Charlene if you're reading this-thank you for EVERYTHING. We had one BT implement the totally irrelevant goal of getting our son to have a girl drive his cars, hiding all the boy figurines to accomplish this. I'm all for equality, but we are need our clinical needs met, we'll be the ones to teach values.
For anyone still reading, all it takes to become a BT is a month of training. It takes me longer to train to be able to fix a refrigerator, and yet this company expects us to trust them with our kids.
BHW, if you're reading-DO BETTER. You are actively harming children with incompetent BTs and your lack of training.
