Edit-I was dismayed when I came in here and overheard a cashier loudly talking to a customer at the register saying that homeless people choose to be that way since they can come to GW and get a job. I thought her position was myopic and insensitive to a very complex issue. I ended up at her register and asked if they were hiring and she said no, there's a hiring freeze right now. Really!? Poor and troublesome outlook. I was saddened by her unsympathetic attitude towards underserved people of the community. She would do well to keep her mouth shut and do her job. It's people like her who make life more painful and difficult. Easy to judge the unhoused from behind the counter of your job. Disgusting. I hope she never experiences the devastating effects of being unhoused. She could use some sensitivity training and save her ignorant statements for when she is not serving those she is criticizing.
Very clean thrift store. Nice variety of cool items to choose from. Huge book shelves full of books to peruse. Dressing rooms and bathrooms. Senior discount. Lots of neat treasures. Got a nice CD player and a bunch of other neat craft supplies.
