Have been following Ben for ~2 years and I am so excited to visit the store!
The savory brioche was great and focaccia is my favorite! Pretty surprise that there's already a long line at 8:15 am on a Saturday morning but it's worth the wait 😋
Pretty place with pretty pastries and friendly staff, but legit you’re just paying so much for what you can get either cheaper or better elsewhere in town.
I will say everything I had was great, so no shade on quality, but you can get equal English muffins from Temple for half the price, and Petit Pierre and/or Fuji Bakery has better just about everything for less imo.
I paid $5 for a $3 muffin ($1.5 at Temple) with small sides of butter and jelly, which are apparently $1 each. Delicious, but just too much for too little.
Don’t get intimidated by the long line! It moves quickly and their breads are too good to pass!
I had coffee and four kinds of breads; English muffin, savory brioche, focaccia, sourdough and donut. They make decent sourdough based breads and I enjoyed focaccia the most. The focaccia had seasoning on top of it to make it savory.
I get Americano from whichever cafe I go to and Ben’s Americano was surprisingly good.
Last but not least, the staffs was lively and nice. I would definitely recommend checking this place out, especially if you’re into sourdough.
