Don't waste your time here. The first time I tried to get an appointment they canceled an hour before it because the dentist was at home and didn't feel like driving into the office because it was too far away from where he lives. Still got x-rays taken, who knows why. Went back the next week to wait an hour in the office, only to find out that someone who had a later appointment that night had come in early and didn't want to wait. No phone call or explanation this time, just "please sit and wait." I'm stupid for taking this long to get out of there.

First off it took 40 days to get an initial appt.
I arrive on time. Given a stack of papers to fill out. Including a waiver that says if l don’t show I will be charged and please be prompt or you may forfeit your appt.
I sat for an hour passed my appt time and not a single word was said to me about being behind schedule. When the four o’clock appt walked in at 4:05pm. she said nothing to him that the previous 3pm still had not been seen. I left.

Having recently turned 65, I enrolled in Delta Dental USA insurance thru Kaiser. Delta referred me to Berkeley Dental & Lab. The woman at the front desk was helpful and nice. The dentist, a German woman named Dr. Stahl, performed a thorough cleaning of my teeth, which was exactly why I had gone there. And thankfully, nobody tried to upsell me an expensive deep cleaning plan. I appreciated that, having had a terrible initial appointment at a different place named "EZ Smile" in San Rafael. I highly recommend Dr. Stahl and her receptionist at Berkeley Dental & Lab on University Ave. in Berkeley.
