Very poor at returning calls and responding to patient needs. Office manager seems burned out and not into his job at all. Requests for way to text office or to get further answers about a procedure were met with an apathetic attitude. Gianna is good but overwhelmed by the workload.
Called in to schedule appointment. Reception answers during voicemail. Indicated I was a new client, and as part of my coverage was assigned to this location. Was told to call my insurance to confirm I was on their roster before they would proceed with an appointment, and then was dismissed from the phone without even asking for my name, etc.
I contacted my insurance carrier, who confirmed I was on the roster and tried to call Berkeley Hills about 10 minutes after my initial call. No one at the office answered. My carrier offered to move locations to help accommodate my needs. I declined and said I'd call again today.
Tried again, no one answered. They also have no online presence to schedule appointments.
It was easier to change my primary care facility and set an appointment with a different location than it was to have someone take my name and answer basic questions from Berkeley Hills Dental Care.
Dr. Pour-Ansari and Teheri are amazing. Excellent dental care. They treat their patients well. Have never had an issue. Their dental assistants have been fine.
I can’t imagine the receptionist position being desirable. Many dental businesses have bad reviews due to the receptionist. The desk person has changed at this office quite often. Calls can go unanswered more likely than I would like. Now if I were a new patient, the desks service may be a red flag.
Give the dentists a shot. Their staff beyond the desk person is great. I’m a patient there for dental care and will not allow a non-dentist to be the issue. See Dr. Pour-Ansari and then make a decision regarding their practice after that.
