I'm a big fan of Best Buy, as they typically have everything I need I also have a membership. However, my recent experience with purchasing a monitor was disappointing. I had to return the first one due to discoloration issues, but fortunately, the store honored the return and I received a replacement. Unfortunately, the new monitor appeared to be an open-box item, despite being claimed as new. The box had been tampered with, and the tape was cut on both sides, suggesting someone had previously opened it. When I asked a staff member if it was new, they assured me it was, but upon closer inspection, I found a small scuff on the back of the monitor. While not a major issue, it raised concerns about the product's quality and authenticity. Given the monitor's price tag of nearly $1400 after taxes, I expect a brand new, untampered product. I hope the store will take steps to ensure the quality and accuracy of their products in the future.
