After years of being a loyal customer, buying TVs, accessories, monitors, printers, and more... I'll never go back.
We bought an open box go-pro before our vacation. Followed all the directions, did all the things right, and despite it being water resistant to 30 meters it filled with water immediately on use. Frying itself and the card we bought, as well as all our vacation photos.
After our vacation we brought it back and it was day 16 of a 15 day return policy. No budging, no negotiation, no compromise or understanding that we had been out of state... and they tried to make it seem like it was our fault.
From my perspective we bought a faulty product when we bought an opened box item and Best Buy won't honor that. And now we're out $300.
If I had bought it at Costco they would have returned it no questions asked. Sad to see Best Buy go, I've been a loyal customer for decades now. But that loyalty only appears to go one way. I won't shop somewhere that won't honor their product or me as a customer.
