The review from the member of our armed forces is disturbing and best buy needs to be investigated. So if I buy a television and open it up and it's broken or won't turn on and it has been 2 weeks I can't even do an exchange for the same product? Something very , very wrong there. What if it's a birthday present or Christmas gift. I had heard my friends tell me about the poor customer service at the Oceanside location but I had no idea they were this bad.
Bought an LG monitor 2 weeks ago. Set it up today. Defective vertical lines. Took it back only to be told nothing can be done. Never in all my years have I had such horrible customer service. To serve this country and spend what little extra money on a gaming monitor for my family only to be taken advantage of by best buy. What a horrible experience. Never returning. Update : Bought an LG monitor as a gift 2 weeks ago. Came in with receipt . Associate behind counter tested monitor found it to be defective, told me to get new one . Found new one and same associate started process. Then associate mid process says over her earpiece yes visual vertical lines across screen. Then has strange look then turns to me and says she can't return ,exchange or help me in any way. You tell me there isn't something fishy going on at Best buy. Almost like they knew it was damaged when they sold it. Called LG . They told me best buy was supposed to exchange it per policy and because it was within return window. LG now helping me. I would advise all other service men and women to avoid best buy in Oceanside. It is not military friendly and I suspect that they are up to some fraudulent activities. Who spoke in her earpiece and said don't return it when she knew it was the right thing to do and already approved the exchange. I literally just wanted the same monitor which they had in stock. Again... Bought it 2 weeks ago for my son's birthday. He now sits with an Xbox and no monitor. Thanks best buy!
You know something's wrong when they get all uptight about a $2 refund that they refuse to give while losing a Sony Bravia television sale. Sony Bravias are not bargain bin priced, they sure didn't want to sell one to me.
This is not the first time somebody at the store has done something really stupid. They lost out on a Pixel Pro sale as well.
They are great for showcasing items that you can go and buy online for considerable savings. I encourage you to not only go and use their showroom, but ask lots of questions. They want it that way!
