We stayed here after we decided not to stay at our other hotel. We were greeted by a friendly staff that helped us right away. We got to our room and got our Fur babies all settled in and went down to the lobby again. I was greeted, if you want to call it that, by a woman named Debbie. Who did not smile and seemed to be not that friendly. I nicely said that we were going to leave for a little bit and that our dogs might bark for a tiny bit and should calm down, they usually do. She commented "so like you will be gone for like 20 minutes." I said " no probably and hour or so.". She did what I thought was a tiny bit of an eye roll and we left. Not 20 minutes down the road we get the call to come back. There we got the same stare of you are back, from Debbie. We had dead battery on our car and had to have our brother come out and give us a jump start on our car. It went dead again and a employee Mel was soooo nice and helpful during our stay there, she went above and Beyond to make our stay good. The kind lady also was parked next to us and gladly gave us a jump start on our car. Mel was VERY friendly and helped us on other occasions while we stayed there. Please give Mel many praises as she is a great employee!!! Everyone at the hotel seemed to be friendly except for Debbie.

This hotel exemplifies what I love about the Best Western hotels. It is a very clean facility, and has a warm welcoming lobby. The staff was amazing, they were very helpful and informative on not only our room and the services provided, but also on what's what around town. It is located close to everything in Oak Harbor. About the only thing that could be a hiccup, only on the weekends probably, would be a finite amount of parking. We had plenty of parking on a Thursday night, but I could see on a packed weekend how parking may be limited, especially since they share parking lots with the restaurant next door.

As far as the room itself was concerned: Very spacious. The bed was very comfortable.The room was kept very clean, it smelled wonderful! The lobby smelled wonderful as well, nice and clean and fresh. No dinginess to the carpet whatsoever, no dust to speak of and wonderful temperature control. The bathrooms were very clean and the shower was very good. And im a clean freak, so that's saying something.

A fantastic experience overall, I would give this hotel a 96%.

Our stay here was very comfortable and convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful with anything we needed. We were up and out every morning adventuring and the breakfast provided was perfect- lots of options for our whole family and a great way to start the day. We found the hotel clean and cozy. We also discovered the Chinese restaurant in the same lot as the hotel on the last day of our stay- great bar and food options also with a friendly staff. Would definitely recommend!
