Last minute we decided to bring the kids on my business trip and the room situation and staff here were great! Smaller hotel, small pool, nothing luxury, but for the price and location it was great! My only complaint was the size of the bathroom. Very small in the suite arrangement.

The hotel staff are very friendly and efficient. Housekeeping does a great job. The hotel parking is very tight. Do not bring a larger vehicle if you want to use the parking lot. The rooms are clean but dated. The bathroom was small but functional.

The hype about the manager Fred is correct: he really might be the nicest guy ever. The person checking is in on Sunday night was NOT Fred and didn’t even say Hello. Our experience was a 15 minute drive to the busy Santa Monica Pier area. You’re certainly not getting to get any closer for $200/night. There’s a little room with a TV and pull-out couch in the rooms which is great if you have kids so you don’t all have to go to bed at the same time. There’s a tiny little outdoor pool and hot tub area, very well maintained and cozy. Breakfast appeared to have REAL EGGS!?!? Breakfast was only served for 2 hours, so it was quite crowded. But there was extra seating by the pool.
