We have been in dispute with LAUSD regarding my son's eligibility for Special Education services for a few years. We recently were granted an Independent Assessment to re-evaluate my son for eligibility. That's where Dr. Maloff came in. He was referred by my attorney and agreed upon by the school district to conduct the evaluation.

Dr. Maloff met with myself and my son over several visits, as well as observed my son in his current school setting. After the information was obtained through a thorough series of private sessions, observations, and testing, Dr. Maloff submitted an in depth report to the School district.

I was so impressed by his findings. He clarified, what the school district failed to see in their reporting. He was able to elucidate the strengths and (most importantly) the weaknesses my son exhibits to assert why my son does qualify for special services.

In addition, Dr. Maloff attended the IEP held to re-evaluate if my son qualifies for an IEP. Throughout the meeting, Dr. Maloff explained the reasons that justify my son's needs for eligibility.

In the end, due in large part to Dr. Maloff's participation in this arduous, emotionally laden process, we were granted eligibility again! My son will now be able to attend an appropriate NPS school that meets his academic and social needs.

I strongly recommend Dr. Maloff as an exceptional and articulate professional to assist any family struggling with similar issues!
