Went looking for soccer stuff - cleats, shin pads, tall socks. Staff was very helpful, and came back to check on me multiple times to see if everything was alright. Cashier was very friendly too, answering my questions on return policy, and looking for items in a different size that I wasn't able to find in store.

Big 5 is a good basic sporting goods store. We came looking for a basketball and found one my son loves. As far as sporting goods stores go this is good for a lot of basic sports equipment and apparel. The selection is adequate and the employees were all very nice and seemed knowledgable. The prices seemed reasonable and I would come back.

Seldom would I spend the time to rate a sporting goods store, but the service here was amazing! The young man who helped me didn't just point me in the direction of the item I was looking for, but he walked me to the display and then searched a different part of the store for what I was looking for. He brought 3 items for me to choose from and one of them was perfect!
