Here's the thing, I really liked everyone here! they WERE friendly and the office is really nice. One star for that. But....... UPDATE: they do not have online bill pay, in 2024. AND when you call to pay the bill they left me on hold for over 5 minutes so they could "transfer stations". I don't think it takes 5 minutes to walk form one end of the desk to the other....every part of this business is lacking customer service.
In my first visit, they were nice enough to give me a quote for the cleaning I was getting. They told me it will take two visits to complete it, and at the second visit it will cost me $X amount for the procedure. No problem. Until the second visit was complete and the bill came in. I was billed MORE THAN 2 TIME the quote amount!! MORE then double, for the mathematically impaired. That's not just a simple error of insurance or a misspoken quote, that is gouging vulnerable people because you have the power to.
SO, when I called to ask about it, they explained it using a lot of technical terms. A technique used in customer service, I know, I have been in that position of getting yelled at by a customer. I am not without understanding that things change. But when this happens, you try to make it right, you adjust. You HONOR your own fricken quote! But they did not loosen their choke hold. I am left with NO options but to pay the bill THEY determined to be sufficient for THEM, regardless of what they quoted me. This is BAIT AND SWITCH. Its dishonest. Its poor business practice.
Now for the comedic relief; She says this would have happened anywhere!! HA! No ma'am!! I am 40+ woman who has actually been to a dentist many times in my adult life. Weird right? And even more weird, I have never been flat out lied to, or charged more then the quote. Ever. All that tells me is that y'all either don't know what you're doing, or are trying to make a pretty penny off your clients. Or both.
Needless to say, I will not be going back to Big Country Dental. And unless you like paying double for a fairly standard procedure, I wouldn't recommend it.
