Nice place for a beginner kayak and hangout with kids. For parking you need the america the beautiful pass or northwest forest pass else you have to pay for parking. Calm and nice environment. Great place to take the kids.

It's really beautiful here. In March the water was blue with green undertones. It was super cold and there wasn't many people around. It's easy to get to but the road does have a few big pot holes you have to navigate. With an SUV it wasn't an issue but with a car that's low to the ground you'll need to go really slow.

Beautiful river access. Water is very cool, not cold, but it takes a minute to acclimate. The clarity is stunning you can see the smallest pebbles in 20ft of water. It can be crowded on warm days but that is expected of public access points.
