Occupying the former home of Babies R Us, Big Lots is back in Cerritos. Formerly known as Pic N' Save at the Best Plaza (now known as Plaza 183) many moons ago, this location is the most spacious, clean & well-organized of all the Big Lots I've frequented. The layout reminds me of the remodeled Fedco before it folded, and much like Target, nowadays. Furniture, mattresses and others of the same ilk are located centrally, whereas food, chemicals & the rest are located on the periphery. Quite the step up, I should say.
As a Big Rewards member, I periodically receive percentage off coupons & free items (such as hand sanitizer). Having my 15% off birthday month coupon, I took it as the opportunity to visit the new store for the first time. I found good prices on organic bagged tea, raw honey & clearance 200 count orange flavored Tic Tac's. I haven't had those in decades! BTW, am I the only one that can't resist biting into Tic Tac's within milliseconds of popping them in my mouth ;p
Service was good. I had a 15 pack of La Croix flavored sparkling water, and I asked an associate for a price check. She did so quickly & friendly in a hospitable fashion. Parking is easy to come by. Big Lots is located next to Aldi, across South St. from Target Greatland.
Big Lots has really stepped up their game! Open layout, clean, well-organized - I can get used to this. Seeing how I receive promos in my inbox all the time, and that this location is very close to where I live, it's a certainty that you'll see my handsome mug pop up regularly in the store, deals in hand. Or, I should say cart.
I have shopped at different Big Lots stores around the area like at Downey, Bellflower, and La Mirada ones BUT the Cerritos Store is by far the best one of all! I like their customer service (their employees are always eager to help you with a smile), the store is clean, well organized plus stocked up with their items. Even if I have to drive a little out of my way, I try coming here!
