Recently when my grandson asked if we could wakeboard vs tubing I had a dilemma. I did not own a wakeboard. Of course I told him, absolutely. Having purchased our boat through Seattle Boat, it was logical to check out Big Swell Surf Shop, as a starting point. Not surprisingly, Jeff Bohling asked me enough questions for me to understand that I had a learning curve to overcome. I will always pay for expertise, and Jeff guided me through a process that was comprehendible. I was very comfortable with Jeff’s knowledge, and asked him to “put it together” and I would pick up later. Along with my Ronix board and boots, I quickly noticed an additional small fin and tow rope. Jeff could see my question before I asked. The rope is non-stretch, vs a ski rope, and it will advance your ability (novice) sharply. And lifewise for the attached large fin, stating that a larger fin would provide a more stable ride, especially in rougher water. I really liked having a goal to switch to the smaller fin when my abilities and comfort level meshed. Jeff has a great attitude and aptitude that I would call ‘old school’, making this venture very pleasant.
