Dr. Pan is just THE BEST! I'm not just talking about his expertise in practice, I mean that's pretty easy to see (pun intended). But he's most likely the warmest and most caring physician I've ever came across! Every time I visit him, it's always a very pleasant experience. He would always effortlessly make me feel welcomed and cared for, I think that's just who he is as a person.
After my personal experience with this amazing doctor, I took both of my parents to see him as well. My parents have some trouble communicating in English, so their resource for medical help is very limited, but luckily Dr. Pan speaks fluent Chinese! He was able to patiently and very clearly explain to my parents regarding their eye health and just health in general.
So now, my wife and daughter are his patients too. My daughter, who is only 6 isn't afraid to go see Dr. Pan, because he tells her stories about his big bunny rabbits, so she always want to go and hear more stories, it's just wonderful. I dare you to find another doctor, who is capable, yet humble as this guy!

As we all know, enormous distinctions exist between medical and surgical practices and physicians/surgeons. Many, if not most, deliver a basic level of medical or surgical care.
I had been to several other ophthalmologists prior to meeting Dr. Pan. Although my glaucoma was severe, I had never been told of the urgency that existed and the blindness I'd suffer if I did not act immediately - until Dr. Pan informed me. Within two weeks I was in surgery; Dr. Pan performed two procedures on each eye (one month apart) and saved my vision. I am pleased to report the results of my surgery were perfect. What could be more amazing and priceless?
Dr. Pan is brilliant and personable; his integrity shines through as does his kindness and empathy. Dr. Pan gained my trust instantly because he gave me his undivided attention at every visit. All my questions were answered with clarity and depth. Within hours he returned each phone call and/or email I sent which gave me additional peace of mind during my recovery.
On my first visit Dr. Pan said, "We work as a team and you are part of that team." There was never a time those words did not ring true. I was treated as a person with a face and a name who presented with a unique set of pressing surgical issues; never simply a patient in a time slot.
Dr. Billy Pan and his staff set the bar high as they offer incomparable care coupled with skill and compassion. From the front desk personnel to the surgical coordinators and staff excellence abounds. I am confident in saying Dr. Pan's practice is the gold standard in the field of Ophthalmology.
