Our kids have been enrolled at birch tree lake hills for a couple years and I’m so happy we landed there! I rarely write reviews but feel it was important to share mine because I relied on others’ reviews so much when initially looking at schools/childcare facilities. Finding a place that felt ‘right’ in all the right ways was so hard when it came to deciding where our kids would be spending a huge chunk of time. And I’m PICKY. I feel like I toured all the schools in the area and BTA immediately stood out in a good way. My experience with the staff, teachers and ownership here has continually reinforced that they are awesome and truly invested in these kids and families. Friendly, warm, transparent, patient teachers, good healthy food served multiple times a day (can send your own lunch if you have a super picky eater), appropriate curriculum for each age, age appropriate independence and free time play given, help with potty training, supporting kids as they work through big emotions, class cams to peek in on your kiddo if you want, an app to manage payments and see school/class updates, kids typically move up all as one class to the next level so you get a chance to know the one group of kids and parents pretty well, indoor gym, outdoor playground, specialty classes like music and PE during the week, fun field trips etc etc. Ive also been so impressed by how they navigated such a difficult year during covid and that our kids were able to continue to have some normalcy while attending there.

I can’t say enough good things about this wonderful school and the fantastic people in it! Our son has gone here for a couple years and every experience we have daily is so positive. The teachers and staff really care for my child and show their love for him! If you’re searching for the perfect environment for you child full of love, positivity and learning please consider Birch Tree you will not regret it! We are so lucky to have the Bothell location opening this fall so our littlest guy will start attending as well! Birch tree staff: We looked long and far to find a place like you and you guys still continue to surprise us daily with your awesome staff, thank you for opening and offering such a wonderful place for our children.

Will not recommend this daycare/school. This school has lot of teacher attrition rate. They don't care for the kids at all. My kid was there for around 3 years. Each year chaotic at BTA. Teacher attrition is so high that it affects the kids drastically both personally as well as academically. Teachers did not care at all if the kids were wet throughout the day, did not bother to change the clothes in such cases, did not bother if the kid ate or not, snatched toys away from them, took kids out to the playground without jackets on a cold freezing day and left the kid wearing wet socks after coming from outside on a rainy day. My potty-trained kid peed in his pants when not allowed to use the restroom while he was on break. He always faced consequences for not being be in his bed during nap time and was not given any toy or book for an hours. He requested the teacher for a paper and color and was denied. He colored on the wall and face consequences.
When we complaint against the teachers, they started targeting the kid in the class - kept him on breaks, not gave him any attention, suspended him for small issues. My kid started saying that he was scared of going to the school and the teachers were mean to him. They went through a lot of emotional abuse at this place. The so-called support was till we refused to reenroll and post that they started giving him consequences for every small thing.
When we told the teacher that we were planning to take them out from the school, they said that the kid is aggressive for gently touching the teacher in order to grab her attention. We saw the video and confirmed that the kid was just trying to grab attention and that the teacher was not hurt at all but they did not consider anything. BTA only cares for money and they do not care for the kids at all.
