My daughter wanted to go here for her birthday dinner. Otherwise, I wouldn't have come back because, historically, this BJ's has terrible service. Well, they got us again! We had a party of 14 and they gave us a server that seemed like it was her 1st day (she claims she's been there for almost 5 years). She was all over the place (mentally) but rarely at our table. When she was there, she was forgetting drinks, high chairs, booster seats, sides, refills, etc. My pizza was warm at best. My sister in law's burger next to me looked like a school cafetería burger. The server was ambitious when she overloaded herself with dirty plates and we said are you sure you want to carry that many? She followed with a huge crash of plates all over the ground. So the worst part of all of this is the prices. I get inflation but they are like 25% more than most similar restaurants. And the kicker was the tip was automatically added to our bill was not even close to what was deserved. As almost she didn't care about how great her service was because she knew she was going to get an automatic 20% of a large bill. Smh

It’s has been awhile since my family had eaten at BJ’s. That will now change to regulars. Last week we had Carrie M as a server. Carrie is the most spunky and on top of it server. Our large pizza came out perfect and so delicious, nobody does pan pizza like BJ’s. Carrie kept my Shirley temples full. I gave that woman a run for her money and she never left me thirsty! Also I must say your chicken tortilla soup is the best this side of the border. We will be back to your Santa Margarita location and hope to have Carrie again as our server. Thanks The Brown family
