We were referred to Sandra (Blank Space Designs) through friends who had just finished a project with her. We loved her energy, positivity, realism, listening ability and vision from the very first meeting and engaged her design services for our kitchen add-on/remodel project in San Jose, California. This was our first large home project – we were like deer in the headlights, not knowing what we were doing, so we relied on Sandra from architectural stage through finishings and decorating, and she came through again and again. Sandra is very well networked and referred us to known professionals throughout the project. She worked with me on creating a detailed budget plan and finishings estimates. She wanted to be looped in to everything as she was able to catch things we would have missed, whether it was structural, or a color or a finish item. She was an ever-present sounding board to our own research and ideas. She advised on where (and how!) we could value-engineer and save money, and where we should invest a bit more for higher, lasting quality. Sandra infused lighthearted, fun, encouraging energy to all of our meetings, but didn’t hesitate to speak up when something needed to be changed or fixed. We knew she always had our back. I did much of the legwork throughout the project, but I always ran everything by Sandra. Sometimes I was on, and sometimes I was off but it was quite satisfying when I got the SSA - Sandra Seal of Approval! We completed our project in early 2024 with zero regrets, and are loving every inch of our new space! I highly recommend looping Sandra into any project you have. You will walk away from every meeting (be it remote or in person) feeling more confident, empowered and energized. Thank you, Sandra!

My husband and I finished up a home refresh with Sandra in 2024, and we love the new look! Sandra was fabulous (and FUN) to work with. She gently pushed us outside of our comfort zone with her suggestions, while respecting our personal tastes. She helped make the process easy.
