After spending several months in the facility with my mom recovering from a stroke I had a up close everyday view of how the people work there. For the most part the CNAs are outstanding is they're just woefully short of staff. I suspect the pay is not competitive. Is the high turnover of CNAs.
The food I can say is was pretty bad very few options for vegetarians unimaginative menu a lot of chicken dishes and a lot of sandwiches for the amount of money this place charges the dining experience is less than exhilarating.

Do not send a loved one to live here. They are failing severely at meeting any of their promises. They regularly have no kitchen staff show up, and have no one to serve residents. It happened again at breakfast today. You can have a meeting set with Management, and they usually don’t show up. When you pull the cord for a caregiver to come, it often takes an unacceptably long time for them to get there. Their food is terrible most of the time. It’s run by a big corporation, and they are not making needed and requested changes. Their sales person will tell you a glorified story about how great they are, and it’s not true. It is a new and very pretty facility, but don’t be fooled by that.

Think twice before putting your loved one at Bonaventure. When you think your loved one is getting the care you are paying for, know this care doesn’t always get done! Care plans are not updated and there is no tracking of what care has been completed on a daily basis.
