I was in here a few weeks ago, early October. I needed a headset for my iPhone. The girl working there "ClarissaM" assured me these were general Apple products, and there was a $5 dollar discount. Within a few weeks the right earpiece started to get staticky, within a few more days it conked out all together. I went back today, less than a month of purchase with receipt, and the same girl (I believe) working there pointed to a place on the receipt where it says "5 days in store warranty, No Refunds Only Exchange" forget about the usual 30 day warranty, not even 7 days! She then pointed to a printed out sign on the front of the register that said the same thing. She also said she was the store manager and that talking to the owner (who makes the rules) was impossible.
This tells me the store is known for cheap merchandise, probably buys defective products that should be discarded, at a cheaper rate, and then sells them at face value. How do I know this? Because it's obviously happened more than once. It's obviously happened so much that they put it on the receipt and on the register to make it part of their policy. If the place sold legitimate products people wouldn't be wanting to return them so quickly and frequently. If it happened once in great while there would be no need to print notices like that on the receipt and in the store front. People generally want products that work, not the hassle of having to do returns. Apple stores almost always just do exchanges for little things like this, without even asking for the receipt, for no other reason that good customer service.
When I pointed this out to the girl working there, she obviously couldn't say much and looked down at the ground. Needless to say I will never return to this store and I strongly suggest you don't buy merchandise there either. I give this store a 0 on customer satisfaction, however I will give it 1 star since that's the minimum needed to post a review.
