I've been here a few times now and it's always a favorite. Watching the salmon run in the fall is the best time to go. Being from the Midwest, it was an awesome spectacle to see the monster salmon climb the ladders.

Really nice place to see fish ladders and power genration plant. It is free admission but very intersting place to visit.

Awesome place to visit. Surprised at how few visitors there were here after being at Multnomah Falls. Best part is certainly the indoor fish viewing, saw spoons of fish jumping and swimming upstream. Also fun to learn the history of the dam and see it roar up close. Saw a bald eagle on the way out. Does require a quick security checkpoint were you open your car trunk.
