Moved my mother into Brighton Court right after Christmas 2021. My mother had parkinson's and was blind from macular degeneration. The day after moving her in, signing the contract and paying them they went into covid 19 lockdown (never mind everyone had already been vaccinated or already had covid in the prior 22 months of the pandemic) and they would not let us get her settled into her new surroundings. The woman at the front desk is more suited to work in a correctional institute than in a front desk customer service position in a retirement home. With that said, during their 2 week lockdown I delivered things for my mother and asked the front desk person deliver them to mom's room. She seemed really put out that I would ask her to do that.
Low and behold after the 2 week lockdown they decided to end the quarantine. Upon entering my mothers room the trash cans were full, feces was all over the bathroom and the items I had asked to be to given to my mother were all piled on her bed (she had been sitting in her recliner for two weeks).
My wife and I got the Executive Director involved and he tried to help but by then it was very late, my mother had declined tremendously. I spent the last few weeks of her life going to see her at lunch and making sure her room was clean and helping her to feed herself.
I would not recommend sending a loved one with serious medical issues to this place Most of the mid-level medical folks were great i.e. Isaac and Davis, (as well as others that we did not get the name of), but the management really could use some training. With that said this place does not rate even 1 star but in order to post my comment I have to.
