There is a tree there that is 105 years old. There is a lot to learn at this small stop. I love that it is also a Veteran memorial area.

Beautiful hiking trails and scenery. We went in July and it was 104 degrees on the 395 in Big Pine at the 168 turn off. Up to 10,000 ft it was a cool 55 degrees, almost 50 degrees cooler. Free parking, off road trails everywhere, hiking trails, movie room, and a gorgeous log cabin type structure that housed the center.
