We love our pre school. The teachers are caring and the facilities are great. When we pick our toddler up at the end of the day he wants to stay so we know he's happy.
They also use an app to update you about your child. Very fancy!
Lack of communication regarding child incidents and health issues: The facility fails to notify parents when a child gets hurt, providing no details on the incident. Additionally, they display incompetence in handling minor child health issues. Ms. Jasmine, who is not even my child's assigned teacher, randomly asked me to not send my child the next day, citing frequent diaper changes and labeling it as diarrhea. No such communication was made during the day, resulting in last-minute absences at work while the child was healthy. When reported to Ms. Jackie, she demanded a doctor's note although child has no diarrhea or other symptoms. This lack of communication and proper handling of incidents and health issues is concerning.
Unprofessional behavior of staff members: Ms. Jackie, the director, displayed unprofessionalism by neglecting concerns and preventing reporting to senior authorities. Another staff member, Ms. Jasmine, exhibited rude behavior towards children and parents, including shouting at them on multiple occasions. Ms. Jasmine even denied entry to a full-time enrolled student and refused to communicate with a supervisor.
False claims about teacher-student ratio: The facility advertised a teacher-student ratio of 2:12 in the toddler class. However, during visits, it became evident that they combined two classes, resulting in more than 24 children without sufficient teachers (1 teacher as per pics on over 24 kids). This contradicts their stated ratio.
Dishonesty regarding potty training: The facility claimed they do not charge extra for potty training. However, they delayed training the reviewer's child from February to November. When questioned about the child's severe diaper rashes, the teachers and Ms. Jackie provided false information, stating that they were actively training the child while refusing to implement the parent's suggestions.
Neglecting student health and comfort: In December, videos were shared showing teachers wearing jackets while children were not adequately dressed, despite the presence of a room fan in cold temperatures.
Lack of support for vegetarian or vegan children: The facility not only failed to promptly provide monthly food menus as promised, but the director, Ms. Jackie, provided an incorrect menu from another institute. When confronted, she responded rudely, blaming the wrong menu on the parent's continued persuasion.
Unreliable annual holiday calendar: Parents cannot rely on the annual holiday calendar provided by the institute. Ms. Jackie frequently opts to call off random days or declare half-days without prior notice. When questioned about these changes, she conveniently claims to have forgotten to mention them in the annual calendar. This inconsistency and lack of reliability cause inconvenience and disruption to parents.
Given these significant concerns, I decided to switch to another childcare facility. Within just one month at the new facility, my child showed remarkable progress in potty training and overall development.
In conclusion, the childcare facility's lack of communication regarding incidents and health issues, unprofessional behavior of staff members, false claims about ratios, dishonesty regarding potty training, neglect of student health and comfort, lack of support for vegetarian or vegan children, and unreliable annual holiday calendar have had a detrimental impact on the child's well-being and development during their enrollment.
