This review is late being put on, from when we visited Feb 2023. Late because I am finally getting caught-up with reviews from 3 major trips. The store merchandise was okay, and when I finally found a pair of pants to try on, there was a sign a the dressing rooms, stating closed, and sorry. When I went to put the pair of pants back, I saw an employee and asked her why they weren't open. She replied, "we keep them closed thru the weekdays, and only open on weekends". She said it was due to, "this store is the highest theft location in the city". Wow! You're possibly losing alot of sales, by customers just putting their articles back like I did. I hated wasting my time, not knowing this, and a highly visible sign should have been put near the entrance, for people to know, if they are wanting to buy clothes!! Hire staff members to check people thru the change rooms! I couldn't buy the pants hoping they fit, because if they didn't, I couldn't return them being that we were staying way north, in N. Scottsdale. Re. the washrooms. They were open when we were there, and nobody was checking us in (hubby, me), to see if we were appropriate to go in. We just went in. Weird, you go behind a barricade type wall, where you can't see the washroom doors. Hubby told me much later, that he saw that somebody had cut/pulled tags off of a pair of new running shoes, and had left their old, dirty ones behind. He also saw part of a needle left on the floor! I can understand why washrooms are totally closed now, due to the theft and drug use. We found that this store is located in what we call a sketchy plaza, as we noticed homeless? people wandering aimlessly around, and some acting weird due to drug use. Being that this day was a Wednesday afternoon, and there weren't alot of cars in the parking lots, even for the other stores, this Arcadia plaza may be a dud place to go. After reading plenty of reviews, this day, Apr 11, 2024, this store seems like it is not well thought of. Customers, from current reviewers, to some that reviewed years ago, are complaining about the lack of staff on cash, and staff to pick up the messy merchandise from the floor areas! In today's world, it is harder to get and keep staff, but still! One of the problems is the extremely, lazy, no good customers who cannot hang clothes back up, nor put merchandise back on the shelves! I make sure I return items to their proper place. Why should the staff, in any store, have to constantly pick-up due to customer laziness! It gets very tiring for them to keep doing this, and it becomes a mundane duty to do, over and over. The other problematic situation is regarding staff, wanting to close the store up much earlier, and go home, or wherever. It's upsetting to clients to come and the store is closing, or they are booted out! some of the stories from reviewers are wild! Also, whichever store staff member is responding the exact same way, to many customer reviews, over the years, saying that you are working on doing something about the issues in the store, well customers don't believe it! I think that nothing is said to them, as you don't want to lose staff, as they are hard to get and keep. Also, if a customer says they are not happy, and won't come back, don't tell them to come back and try again. I wouldn't!
