Can't resist the hype in instagram and picked Thursday morning to check out this buzzing woman owned bakery. As I knew that they sell out fast I came around 10am and to our delight the line was just a couple people. My friend and I ordered all the different stuff and tasted almost all their assortment. Savory pastries were really good. My favorite was Morty P. But as for cruffins and sweet ones - they were too sweet to my taste. Especially those covered with additional sugar. We were lucky enough to take their the only seating spot next to the window and try the pastries inside the bakery but there’s definitely not enough workers to keep that spot clean so we needed to do that ourselves after people who left before us. Overall it’s a cute spot to visit if you are in the neighborhood and have time to wait in line but doesn’t worth a drive if you are not North Beach local.

Get here early and fast. Butter and Crumble is one of the absolute greatest bakeries in all of San Francisco. People line up on the weekdays at 8am for this stuff. Once they sell out for the day, they close. This can happen as early as 11am even on a weekday. The menu is variable and available only on Instagram (their website is online but their pastries frequently change). Pricey for ~$7+ dollars per item. And it is worth it. Gotta eat these bad boys within at least 3 days from buying once refridgerated.

Very hyped, so expect to be there early enough & wait in line. Atmosphere felt a bit rushed & crowded therefore. There is only 2 barstools, so dont expect to stay to enjoy your goods. But you can see part of the pastry making which is a nice touch. Prices are pretty steep but both my savory bruschetta danish & the twice baked peach croissant did deliver- fresh & full of flavor while not being overly sweet. So worth it as a special treat :)
