I was in town on leisure and decided to eat dinner at Buzz Inn on Evergreen. I've stopped at other Buzz Inns while riding my motorcycle with a few friends, so I've been to Buzz Inns before but this was my first time at this location.
The inside was no surprise, typical decor as the other Buzz Inns. The wait staff was friendly and courteous.
The food I was disappointed in though. I ordered the Taco Salad with crumbled hamburger. The salad was prepared nicely and had decent amount of all the ingredients. The thing that disappointed me was that the hamburger crumbles were overcooked.
There was a slight burnt taste and the meat was dried out. My guess would be the cook was distracted and left the meat cooking too long.
I also didn't understand why the taco salad came with a slice of garlic Texas toast, but I'm a sucker for bread, especially when it's toasted, so I'm not complaining!
Any way, other than the meat being overcooked my meal was pretty good. Especially the chocolate cheesecake I had for dessert! Very decadent and rich.
Crystal, our server, was very friendly, helpful and attentive.
The food was delicious. We both had a different 1/2 pound burger with Fry's. Good portions and great flavour.
