45 minutes to checkout... Purchased a firearm from cabelas and was put into the OSP background check que, (first time ever that i have not received an instant approval) not a problem, but a first for me.. one week later, as expected, I got my call from cabelas with confirmation that my background check had been approved and my firearm was ready for pickup. Keep in mind that at this point that my firearm has been paid for in full, paperwork completed, and background check processed and approved I arrive at Cabelas early afternoon on a week day, and the store is pretty much empty... From the time I approached the gun counter employee to the time I was finally able to leave the store took over 45 minutes. No idea why, multiple people came out to "review " my paperwork (again OSP has already approved my BGC). my finger prints were re-taken, and one employee spent about 20 minutes on a computer with my ID... 45 minutes to 1 hour later, I was finially escorted out with my firearm.. I purchase and own many firearms, and am extremely familiar with the oregon BGC and legal purchasing process. This was the most awkward transaction I've ever experienced. Why was my paperwork "reviewed" by multiple employees after I was already approved by the state police? What was being done on the computer with my ID? Why did the process take about an hour before I could exit with my property (picked up a different firearm earlier in the day from Mazamas and the process took less than 10 minutes)? After this experience, combined with Cabelas high end of the spectrum prices, they will definitely be one of the last places I shop for firearms in the future.
All my arrows I just bought today at 8:23pm were rushed thru and caked up with super glue
Can’t put the tips on most of them
I checked this place out today. The prices are CRAZY. Amazon has the same products made by the same brand for a fraction of the cost at Cabela’s. I even get it delivered right to my door with Amazon.
Businesses really need to start ranking their prices if they hope to survive.
