Cabrillo is simply stunning and so many local San Diegan’s admit to never have been here. My favorite part is definitely the tide pools go when it is low tide and it’s always fun to discover the new creatures that wash up on the shore. The last time we went, we saw the blue Velella velella jellyfish. We did an awesome hike and checked out the store took gorgeous photos and had a little picnic too.

Beautiful viewing point - the cliff walk amongst others offers a nice possibility to get a few steps in at the Cabrillo Monument. Great views over San Diego

This was my first visit. I visited with my wife, who was last here over 30 yrs ago. We had a great time! Spent about 5 hours here. Visited the lighthouse, visitors center, tide pools, and hiked many of the excellent trails. It was raining lightly the first few hours and was quite cold due to the high winds, but once the rain stopped, it warmed up pretty quickly. Great place for family visits and to bring kids. I loved the tide pools! Will definitely come back, hopefully sooner than 30 yrs.
