UPDATE August 2024: I likely won't come again as part of our annual end-of-summer trip. Which is too bad. I like the food. The staff are nice.
The problem is that the restaurant needs either more staff working the busy Sunday brunch scene or one or two fewer tables. Staff were doing their best, but it was clear they were overwhelmed. I saw at least one table outside leave, and two others wait almost 30 minutes for water and to place their orders.
The other recommendations are a better waiting area. If a party is more than four, people are standing. That feels awkward when patrons are dining a few feet away.
Also, a sign-in sheet. We were a party of six. The staff got a table ready. We stood outside - cause of the awkward feeling of the waiting area. Another party walked in the door and were seated at the table we were supposed to use. Staff were great when we noted this, but it meant more scrambling for them. A sign-in sheet would help.
Original review: Nice place with great service and good food. The chicken and waffle was good, but I prefer thigh meat vs breast. That said the meat was still flavorful and juicy. It's a tricky one to accomplish frying breast meat without turning it dry and boring.
Eggs Benedict was tasty according to my breakfast companion.
The location was wonderful and the inside was clean and had a modern, chic feel to it. I can see this place being perfect for first dates or work meetings.
It is more on the pricier side, however the service was very good and very attentive. The food was very good and for the price, you are getting a large portion. Kid friendly with outside seating too, although the tables inside are a little close together for those with mobility issues or bigger bodies, however there are some 2 people tables on the edge that may be able to accommodate.
Overall we had a wonderful time there, and had amazing food!
Great food, coffee and service. It’s a small place but comfortable. We got lucky and immediately were seated at a table.
I had the 11th Omelette and she had the French Toast. Both were excellent! Food presentation is upscale compared to your standard breakfast joints.
