Nice easy hike, great views of the area. Very little shade on the hike. Out and back trail.

This is a wonderful dirt road that starts off as a trail, with many trails at meander along the road. This is an excellent place to hike. To access the trail you should park on Old Topanga Canyon Rd. Once you park, you can walk along the paved path to the trailhead which is marked with signs (picture attached). The views are incredible - on a clear day you can see the ocean and even Palos Verdes in the distance! Unfortunately people are not respectful in cleaning up after their dogs - so there was a lot of dog poop you have to watch out for (some even in bags). The road is rough, rocky, sandy and steep at times, so be careful you wear proper shoes and don't roll your ankle. Please be responsible and clean up after yourself. I will be back to try and make it to Calabasas Peak.
