I was first diagnosed with Chronic Lyme Disease in 2010 and I was evaluated over 5 yeas by 15 different doctors in some of the best medical facilities in the country and they were unable to diagnose my failing health. Dr. Sunjya Schweig is one of the doctors I credit with saving my life. Allopathic medicine wasn’t working, and it took too long to figure out what was happening to my body. I just became sicker and more frustrated to the point that the MD’s I saw thought I was making up symptoms. Desperate and very sick, I found Dr Schweig and functional medicine. In my experience, healthcare needs to be a collaborative effort between you and your doctors and doctors need to be willing to look at protocols that are new and inventive and work with you until you obtain optimum health. CCFM, Dr Schweig and his team offer the best care considering new treatments and factors like lifestyle, diet, hormones and symptoms in diagnosis. The team optimize labs (often using kits or unconventional methods) while focusing on the whole body to try and stop or reverse chronic disease progression. This method works! Dr. Schweig is cutting edge and your health is worth your investment of time and money. Comprehensive care with conventional medicine doesn’t exist in this country. Doctors are tired, burnt out and cannot spend the time needed to work with patients to treat the whole body. Dr. Schweig and his team care and spend time to provide a more in-depth review of your condition considering all aspects of health and your body. CCFM has significantly improved my life and if you consider the long-term cost of illness with conventional medicine, functional medicine is a bargain. Five stars for CCFM and Dr. Schweig is not nearly enough gratitude for getting to the route of my health problems, improving my quality of life, and adding precious years with my family.

I have been a patient of CCFM since March 2019. Previously, I had seen several doctors seeking answers to a multitude of symptoms and had not been able to properly diagnosed. Dr. Schweig and his team were the first to spend time listening carefully, test appropriately, dissect the issues and put me on a course back to health and being able to function, for which I am truly grateful. Allowing a body and mind to heal takes a great deal of perseverance, from the patient and from the medical team, which I have definitely received.Over the last four and a half years, including during the pandemic, I've continued with the subscription model and taken advantage of both nutrition counseling and health coaching, which have supported my goals. I find their programs and methods to be thorough and handled with care. I have come to appreciate the thoughtful approach at CCFM, because with complex chronic illness, there is no quick fix. I feel very fortunate that CCFM uncovered my root causes, has caring PA's that are familiar with my case when I have to tweak my regimen, and partnered with me to recover my life. Maintaining my health is possible with their support. This is truly "healthcare".

I had chronic reactivated EBV and Lyme with co-infections for more than 40 years. I had healed my self pretty good with MegaSporeBiotic and some of there other products. Then I started with CCFM in April 2022. The online idea sounded nice but the handout about who to pick as your deep dive coordinator and further care team was UNhelpful. I couldn't get to either MD in my 1 year. I did work with a couple NPs. Tracey was not helpful in that she ordered many, many expensive specialty labs plus $100 to interpret the labs on top of the monthly fee for services while forgetting Lyme disease and co-infections require a clinical diagnosis and labs aren't always accurate in late stage Lyme, which I have. I had tons of positive labs before I got to CCFM and uploaded those which were basically ignored. I only had maybe 8-10 symptoms left. Deep dive was good with Allie! But the handout said I had to pick then from Tracey the Lyme literate NP or Megan NP without Lyme experience. I chose Tracey and it was a difficult time with her. Fast to order labs and slow to introduce helpful change. Told to go all paleo by Lindsay, who had healed her own Lyme. But that didn't work for me. I advocated for a change in team and moved after months of asking from Tracey to Megan, and that was lovely. I had nice support from Katie in all of this and had some productive progress with Megan as my primary point of contact and went to eat mostly vegetables with some protein and that worked per meal. She listened and partnered with me in my long healthcare journey; she trusted my feedback while others at CCFM did not. I stopped seeing my nutritionist Lindsay because she was pretty fixed on paleo as the only way. So Megan was good for my issues. I was recommended to buy products on Amazon, which is known for counterfeiting supplements and other places where CCFM gets a % of my purchase. The bills piled on. The specialty labs for sibo, and so many others just helped Tracey know I didn't have the many things that my symptoms didn't suggest I had. But thousands of dollars later, Tracey was clear of that too. It was just a frustrating experience. I had read the negative reviews and had hope. But there are better options. Dutch Plus test was important in my journey but the specialty Lyme and co-infection labs reiterated what my LabCorp results showed for 10% of the cost. This is a costly and frustrating option. If you know and want to advocate for your health, you cannot get in to see the MD Schweig, nor Asfour. I wouldn't bother with Tracey and would say Megan, Allie and Katie are the ones worth working with. Many Lyme specialists take tens of thousands of dollars. And CCFM can do that too. So be leery. MegaSporeBiotic has helped so many of us. It is a much more affordable and productive option to consider. Best of luck in your journey back to health.
