I went to California Sports after too many tweaks to my left ankle after falling from climbing. I went roughly 12 times over the course of 2 months. They provided a wide range of ankle exercises that tired out my ankles every time, progressing my exercises regularly. My ankles became stronger and the arches more supported over time. When I had stiffness that felt unrelated, they recommended areas I should stretch, and within a couple of weeks they were back to normal.
Scheduling started out relatively tough as it took a month before I could schedule my visits after the initial consultation, however after that it was easy making appointments and switching times if required. They’d oftentimes call me to see if I wanted to come in earlier on a Friday.
Right after I graduated I tweaked my ankle again, and so that was tough knowing that I worked so hard only to be back where I was. But I didn’t start from zero, I nursed myself back to where I was before based on the exercises that Bhakti and Anusha provided.
Settling on a "good" rating because of the scheduling and the fact that I wish they were more tailored to climbing. In addition, there isn’t too much time to speak with your provider, you normally get round robin’d off to an assistant.
