Now that we have some more mature staff, things may get better

We stopped into Canadian Tire to purchase a car battery as our car was having troubles starting. After purchasing tools and a battery from Canadian Tire we swapped out the battery ourselves, but had parked in a lane to the side inbetween Canadian Tire and the Auto Centre (just incase it wasn't the battery and we needed a mechanic to look at it). As we were changing the battery the mechanic working had taken cars in and out and saw where we were and what we were doing and was fine. After about 30 minutes a woman (who I assume to be the Manager of the auto centre) came out to tell us we cant park there to do our mechanical work and it was also not ideal to do this in the parking lot. There are no signs that say no parking at all in the area. We explained we are visiting from Europe and didn't see any signs and would be out quickly. After putting the battery in and going inside to tell them the old battery was outside the same woman manager told us how it is disrespectful of us to be parked out there doing mechanical work. I am shocked at this behaviour and response to a paying customer. She was very rude and unhelpful. We had never been to a Canadian Tire before and this experience has tarnished the company name in our eyes. Visiting from abroad we had mostly positive experiences with very friendly Canadians and this was absolutely not it and the worst. Easy to say we will never visit this location for an auto work or anything in the future and doubtful to visit another Canadian Tire again.
