The staff is great and the place is clean. But.

The front of the store is divided such that if there's more than 2 people in line for a cashier, no one can get to the self checkout. Everyone has to ask each other what line they're in then squeeze by multiple people if they want to use self checkout. It's the worst layout I've ever seen from a large corporation.
Unlike other large stores that sell large items, the self checkouts don't have hand held scanners. So if I buy large items I have to wait in line for a cashier, and block everyone trying to get to self checkout.
They removed all of the cart returns in the parking lot so customers must return the carts to the store. Just so they can keep skeleton crew and not have to pay someone to get the carts.

You are a multi billion dollar company. Do better.

Brought my SUV for a seasonal tire change (8 tires, 4 rims) and had to do a drop in on a Sunday.

The front desk said that’d it’s only be 1.5-2hrs max and that they’d give me a text/call once they’re done.

2.5 hrs go by and still nothing so I give them a call to no response. I called again an hour later and still no response. I end up calling 5 times in the span of 6 hours to no response so I end up driving down to see what’s going on.

The same guy at the front desk says that they finished the change 2 hours after I had initially dropped it off and said that he should’ve texted/called me. I’m assuming he forgot since he just gave a bs apology instead. I would’ve drove down sooner but I live a decent distance away and didn’t want to waste my time for it not to be finished.

Costed $170 for some of the worst customer service and 6 wasted hours.

Their customer service is very poor. Before visiting their store, I checked their inventory through their app.Instead of checking their actual stock, they advised me to go to another large Canadian Tire stores.
