Yoanka helped us pick out our puppy, JD, five years ago. She provided initial training (potty training, manners, recall, etc.) that has served us well. She and Kurtis and other members of the CLA team continue to play important key roles in JD’s life, making her the affectionate pet she is today. Thank you, Yoanka, and Canine Learning Academy for your continued presence in JD’s life.

Are you at your wits’ end trying to manage your dog? Hearing tons of advice about shock collars and chokers? Look no further! This is the team you need! When I first called CLA I was in tears speaking with Julie, tears of frustration turned into tears of relief as she assured me they could help me and my GSD Cleo. We went thru the Rowdy to Calm training and have had multiple training sessions. Julie is as patient w people as she is with dogs! She had immediate chemistry w Cleo and helped me to think more positively, to celebrate the victories large and small. Cleo has become a wonderful companion, but even more importantly we have become more patient and creative owners for her!

We are so fortunate to have met Yo and found Canine Learning Academy (CLA)! When Sofia, our golden doodle, came home we quickly realized that bringing in a new puppy is super stressful. We were worried about socializing, crate training, potty training, developing a schedule, and how to set up our home. Basically, all of It! Yo and her team of experienced trainers have helped us learn how to teach Sofia important puppy skills. The puppy classes (Kindergarten 1 and 2) were awesome! We learned how to use positive reinforcement to teach Sofia important skills. We also love the all day puppy school! We can drop Sofia off for a full day of training and play, knowing she is not only safe, but she is also learning and being loved. CLA’s new incredible facility at Beach and Ellis in Huntington Beach is an awesome training center…bright, spotless, organized and, spacious! The trainers at CLA are all mirror of Yo… personable, knowledgable, approachable, and always have a smile. The CLA team work individually and together with each dog providing enrichment activities using kind and positive methods, no negative reinforcement! Thanks to Yo’s expertise and the help of her awesome team, we have a friendly, happy, socially adjusted puppy we can take anywhere. We couldn’t be happier!
