First off, its an absolutely amazing experience. (Strange thing to say about a used car dealer, I know.)
I was helped by Mike and Thanh, who were both amazingly calm, laid back, and very respectful. After being to over a dozen dealers and dreading the line "What will it take to get you in this car today." I was expecting a lot more hassle when I walked in the door.
Instead, everyone was kind and accommodating, and made jokes because they wanted to, not because they felt forced to. The atmosphere was very calm and pleasant, despite the usual stress of spending a big chunk of money on a car.
They ended up giving me a very respectable deal on the car I purchased, and I never once felt like I was fighting against them, even on a price. I made a fair offer, and they accepted without any hassle or snake-like negotiation.
Finally, even after giving me a great deal, they offered to deliver the car over an hour away to North Vancouver! (Which was never discussed before I paid and signed the papers!)
After being to dozens of dealers, looking for various vehicles, I can confidently say that I will be travelling from Victoria, B.C. again when it comes time to purchase another vehicle, and I will be highly recommending CarAvenue to all of my friends and family looking for a used vehicle.
Best Car Buying Experience Ever
My girlfriend and I were moving up north and needed to get a vehicle immediately. Our salesperson and the other staff at Car Avenue have set a standard for any future car transactions going forward. Super friendly, not pushy, just an informative and eager to assist bunch. Not only did they encourage us to look for the best possible price in the area, but when we found a lower price they matched it! We drove off with a 2005 Grand Cherokee . A week after driving it around the brakes felt weird, we called them and they said to bring it down. Problem solved -sticky caliper replaced -free of charge. I can't speak highly enough about our experience at Car Avenue. The staff are genuine good people looking to give their customers the best experience in buying a car. Even the mechanic was super friendly as well. I would highly recommend going to Car Avenue to anyone looking for an honest straight forward car buying experience.
