I have been a patient at Cascade eye for as long as I can remember. In the Fall of 2023 I had a consultation with one of the Doctors regarding Cataract surgery and lens replacement. I was told that the lens replacement could possibly eliminate the need for me to wear glasses. Of course I signed up. The first surgery was on my left eye and the results were less than satisfactory as my vision was blurry and really tough to focus. The Doctor attributed this at first to me moving a lot during surgery. This seemed weird to me as I was anesthetized and pretty much out if it. He then said it was due to chronic eye dryness or a deformed cornea which they certainly should have known about beforehand because, as I said, I have been a patient there for many years. The second surgery, on the right eye, went much better and my vision in that eye was nearly perfect. But there was still the issues with the left eye that actually seemed to be getting worse. The Dr proposed replacing the new lens with a different one but when I went in for a pre surgery appointment the surgery was cancelled due to changes in the eye affecting vision. I had another appointment today and was told that replacement surgery wasn't really a viable idea anymore and they proceeded to workup and prescription for eyeglasses. After spending $4500 out of pocket for surgery and new lenses I will be right back to where I was before all this started. Wearing glasses. I'd really like my money back.
