This place has been frustratingly close to very good for years but the quality is just too inconsistent. The left side was from a weeks ago and right side is more recent. Exact same order but the difference in quality is staggering. The first order was delicious but the second was terrible. You can tell in the left picture the chicken was actually breaded and fried in house whereas on the right it’s super obvious this was a frozen chicken patty from a store (tasted like it too). There was zero hot honey on the Hot Honey Chicken sandwich, I didn’t order mayo but got it anyway, there’s no coleslaw or fried onions even though I ordered them, and I got tiny pieces of chopped pickles instead of full slices like originally. The mac and cheese is also very watered down and runny compared to the first order too. The first one is absolutely worth the $20 it costs but the 2nd one wasn’t worth even half that.
I really want to rate this place higher because when the food is good, it’s very good. It’s a complete gamble what you’re going to get every time you go.
It's generally difficult for me to give rave reviews for a meal that costs over 24 dollars and doesn't fill me up. That being said, the flavor is probably the best thing in town, and that's not only limited to BBQ. With three different spice levels for their BBQ, it made biting into the brisket sandwich nothing short of delectable.
The guest experience was great and it will definitely be a place I'll bring my friends when we're hungry and need something delicious to fill the spot.
I do wish there was an option to have an entre with only one side, but again, the food was well worth savoring.
