Center For Therapeutic Intervention literally saved us!!!
My son struggled for years. We were in and out of doctors, on handfuls of meds and felt like we just couldn’t get it right. School was impossible, he couldn’t connect with other kids socially or emotionally and we didn’t know how to best support him. We were at our wits end! While desperately looking for help any where in the community, I posted online in a special needs group. Jason, the owner and director of CTI, personally reached out to me within minutes. I was nervous that while CTI sounded great, we still wouldn’t get the support we so badly needed. But a few days later, as we sat there in the waiting room, I saw Jason with the other kiddos. He was engaging, kind, tender, and knew exactly how to make each and every one of them feel like they were the most important little being in the world. I sat there and felt something I hadn’t felt in years. H O P E. In that moment, it hit me that we’d finally found our place.
After just a year and a half at CTI, my son is mainstreamed with limited para supports because of the work Jason has done with him. He has close friends because of Jason’s support, mentorship and love. Things that felt so far out of reach have been accomplished because of Jason. We owe so much to CTI and Jason. He’s become not only an integral part of my sons therapy, but our family as well. Jason never gave up. Even when things were insanely hard. Even when my kiddo refused to participate. Or told obscene jokes. Or was downright disrespectful and rude. Jason was right there with a hug and a reminder to “don’t rub it off, rub it in!” following each kiss on the head goodbye. He is knowledgeable, honest, one of the kindest souls I know and, honestly, saved not only my sweet boy, but me as well. After years and years of searching, we’ve found our place!!
I’ll never be able to thank him for his friendship. Or for giving me hope again. He is our world and we are so thankful for all that he, and CTI, is to our sweet boy ❤️
