Over $95,000 in commission fees to a realtor at this office Century 21 Troop in 26 months I expected much much more.... The agent was rarely able to negotiate anything of importance or value for me during the sale or purchase of my houses. I used his services in the sale of two homes and purchase of one (recommended by my then-spouse). When it came to anything other than signing the contract to give the other party what they wanted, and the sales commissions, the agent was no help to me and several times did not have complete or correct information. He did not seem knowledgeable about property matters, more importantly he did not go out of his way to find answers to important and relevant questions I had. The agent/broker’s response, and that of his office was, “if you don’t sign the contract by the deadline, the other party can back out”. Additionally, the agent/broker agreed to refund several thousand dollars to me at the completion of the sales contract, which he purposely refused to do for several months. He was extremely angry with my then-spouse who used a different realtor for his next purchase. To me that seemed petty, punitive and he broke our written agreement. When I took this matter to the supervising broker, they tried to force a full non disclosure in order for me to get what he 100% agreed to refund me! Why?!? If I ever had to use the services of anyone affiliated with this agency, I would definitely use a real estate attorney. Two supervising brokers’ bottom line quote to me was, “you signed the agreement” there’s nothing we are going to do for you. The agent’s exact quote to me was, “we will see you in court!”
