This shop is a trip back to when the USA was prosperous and 522 was a dirt road. The owner of this shop may come off as a little abrasive at first. That's mostly because he runs business the old fashioned way. Something lacking in todays business world. Mutual respect and the customer's not always right.
I've been going here for years now. I've never had a bad experience with the owner or his work. Very honest and wont sell you anything you don't need. A rare bird indeed. Especially if you take into account his age and being a small business owner in today's America.
Even when I found out one day that my saw's piston had frozen up in the cylinder. He still managed to take me from the feeling of FML to it's worth repairing and much less stress. He even went out of his way to repair it early for me.
Go there with a good attitude and don't be disrespectful and you'll leave in a good and satisfied mood. Thus knowing you'll be taken care of honestly, correctly, and a fair price. He greatly values his reputation based on that.
