Like the fact you order up front and no tip is necessary. So don’t expect A+++ service. Great value for the combo deal. If you enjoy porridge there is definitely a choice for you.

My cousin has been telling me to try this Cantonese breakfast place in Monrovia. He also told me not to buy to go, so I had to dine in. The portion of the porridge is huge, but if I to go it, it would have been one container instead of 2. The flavor is okay, nothing special about it, just porridge. But for $15 combo, I chose the rice roll and yinyang, plus the ice cream (dine in only). I think it is worth it. Everything is self-serve at this cafe, it is pretty simple. I do want to go back to try their other dishes, especially the WanTon noodle and baked rice.

Soft opening was today. So the logistics that make this place a little different is you order your food, get a pager, sit down, self service counter-grab your own water, utensils, condiments- and wait for them to buzz you to the counter which might be multiple trips depending on how much food you ordered. Tipping is not encouraged here. For the soft open they were a little slow and we got there before it was crowded. If there are no seats available you might need to wait in line by the counter until someone leaves and then you can order your food. The food itself was good and we will be back to try the other items. Heard this place was popular in Diamond Bar so we’re fortunate to have one close by.
