Myself and 2 if my band members were travelling to our show in Portland and stopped over in Montesano. We went to Charlie's for a night cap and had a great experience, the barman was not the most warm but I liked that about him. There was a electronic dartboard which provided great entertainment, there was a fantastic jukebox that had a great selection of songs (except Monto by the Dubliners) The clientele was very friendly a cute girl came over to our table and chatted all night to us. However, there was no larger on tap which was I disappointed by. 5/5 I will return again and I highly recommend it. Hopefully next time I will get to meet Charlie

If I could leave zero stars I would. We went here after a wedding with a group of friends, and we were hanging out talking around a table, not being rowdy or anything. The whole time we were there the bartender was being rude and the regulars acted like we weren't welcome. He would serve the regulars before us and made it very known he didn't want us there. After an hour or so the bartender decided to spray us with water from a soda gun, and when one of us asked him why he said "because I don't like you guys here." After talking to him for some time about how we didn't appreciate it and that it was extremely rude and unprofessional, he then said he was just joking and we don't know how to have a good time. Then he told a few of us we needed to leave because we told him we were upset about being sprayed with water....What a joke. On top of that, one of us ordered food and it took 40 minutes to get it. They reminded the bartender twice, and after 40 minutes when he asked about his food, the bartender just pointed at the end of the bar where his food was waiting and didn't say anything (the opposite side of the bar from where we were sitting). Someone else tried to order food a little later and the bartender said they were done serving food for the night, but then someone else went up and ordered food 5 minutes later and got it. Unbelievable.

Worst bar experience! Bar tender was insanely rude. My whole group was friendly and was planning to tip well until he sprayed water on us because regulars told him they disliked our group apparently. We weren't being rude or obnoxious. We were celebrating a wedding that just happened that day and our moods were a complete 180 after being sprayed. There was absolutely no reason for it. I will never go here again and advise everyone I know or meet in Montesano to never go here! I am livid and disappointed!
