Today I felt very un welcomed in this bank, had a pretty simple question am explained I had not called because I had been driving for 3 hours... was told to talk to a banker which was fine asked to use the restroom while I waited was told there were none for the public. ... seems that as investors with my $ in your bank I wouldn't be the general public anymore

Went into the bank yesterday to open an account for my daughter. We deposited a large cashier's check with the guarantee directly from the bank manager that while there was a hold on the check yesterday, we would be able to get the hold cleared up today and my daughter would be able to withdraw part of the money to buy herself a car. Today we were told that none of that was true, the bank manager lied directly to our faces. My daughter's money will be on hold until the beginning of Nov and there is nothing we can do about it. The hold department from the Chase 1800 line is completely clear that the manager could have easily stopped all of this from happening but chose not to. She also, while I was speaking to an associate, told my daughter that it would take them a day to be able to even give her $6000 from the check because they didn't have it on hand to give out. If I had heard that, it is a large enough red flag that I would never have handed them a check and would have walked out immediately. My daughter is heartbroken and now cannot start her new job because she has no car, even though she earned the money for it. Absolutely disgusting way to treat a teenager who is new to banking, she no longer trusts banks at all!

My experience left me feeling like Chase doesn't value my business. Their employee told me they couldn't open a new account for me because it was 12 minutes to five. I was in line for almost ten minutes. I explained that I had taken time off work to be there during their business hours but she was unpursuaded. I explained it would be difficult for me to come back some other time any earlier and if they couldn't help me, I would have to take my business elsewhere. She was like "ok". Very disappointed.
